Who says you can’t launch a successful company before College?

It was an honor this year to be a judge at the 2021 National Pitch Competition event hosted by INCubatoredu out of Chicago. These are incredible high school teams that got to participate at this level, picked from among 15,000 students around the nation in the entrepreneurship education national program called Uncharted Learning. I had been asked to judge in the Shark Tank competitions of Austin’s Westlake High School before, but had never been exposed on a national level with finalists from high school teams around the country. I was just blown away by the level of sophistication, research, and customer discovery that these teams had done. Experiential teaching at it’s finest! I was particularly inspired by the team dynamics of both our two winners, Austin’s very own Westlake High School top team, GiftE, and FYDER Filament, an all female team from Chicago. Big congrats to both in sharing the top $20,000 prize!! #TomorrowsChangeLeaders #ExperientialLearning #Student Entrepreneurs
